At our September meeting, the Trustees approved a motion to increase the yearly pension benefit amounts by $40. Members who worked at least 1801 hours will now receive a monthly benefit of $140 as opposed to $100 for the years of 2018, 2019, and 2020.
Local 27 Trustees are, and always have been, conservative when allocating pension benefit amounts. We have never over extended ourselves with future promises that could result in an under funded pension plan. We will continue that way of thinking when investing and allocating in the future.
